first mods

Default first mods

whats the best mod to start with. i want to do so much but i just dont know where or what to start with. my car is completely stock and i want to get goin on it but my mind is everywheres and i cant get it to stop on one decision. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

can't beat edelbrock products for intakes. For the 302, I would say go either the performer rpm, or the rpm air gap if you plan on running a different hood (you'll need hood clearance for the taller plenum).

but I would say, start with exhaust and suspension work first. Get a good set of headers and a nice exhaust system. Consider a good x-pipe setup and some better flowing mufflers. For suspension, get yourself some springs with a higher rate and go through the thing and replace all the bushings with poly-u stuff from energy suspension or equivalent. Add a good front sway bar (rear too), then start building your cars power.

ignition is a good idea as well (thats something i still need to do!). Once you let your stock block breath a little better, leave performance for the time being and do that suspension...get a nice tight body going with new springs, shocks, bushings all around, then start to build the performance to match.
