Default gas filler hose

Do you know if the gas filler pipe hose can be purchased at AutoZone or any other local auto shop?

Where did you get it?

I'm fixing to turn my filler neck around facing the inside of the trunk so I can do some work where the gas cap is on the outside. Some PO painted al of the trunk including the filler hose. It is super brittle and I know I need a new one!

Yes, you can get those filler hoses at most any parts place, or from any Mustang vendor. But, don't put on a hose that is not specifically for that purpose as the gas will break the rubber down on any other ordinary hose of that size. I suggest you also replace the clamps while your are in there.

i thought that also but a guy at the local speed shop told me bout the silicone hose i put it in my truck 3 yrs ago not a problem since and it is still very pliable i have used it for several applications but ya regular rubber will only last a few months b4 the gas will break it down cause i had to use rubber cause not every place stocks the filler pipe hose anymore cause i guess that some chemical thats in it can be used for crack or somehting i dunnno some guy toold me that at autozone i dunno if true or not but he has been fairly accurate so far
