replace every hose while your at it and have some extra wire on hand in case you need it

ok, im starting to put everything back on my engine tomarrow. im going to get a new alternator, new plugs, some gaskets for my carb, carb spacer, vavle covers. i assume i need some kinda adhesive, what do you guys recommend? anything else im not thinking of?

I would, just for security. I generally use RTV on all my gaskets, partly to keep them in place and partly to fill in the small voids in the metal for a better seal. I've never had a leaky engine...or even one that seeps.
