Howdy--Does anyone know how much fluid the ford 9" rear takes from bone dry? Its a posi locker,(if that would make any difference)--I cant seem to find the specs for it anyplace----thanks all!
It should be about 2 quarts with a limited slip you also need to put some friction modifier in with it. you should fill it until it comes out the fill hole.
Thanks--I had a feelin it was right around 2 or 2.5 qts---I talked to detroit engineering directly on my diff and they said to stay away from friction modifiers.
if you get synthetic fluid you dont need friction modifier, its all ready in it. look on the back and it will say so. if its not limited slip then dont worry.
