Default radio question?

i just bought a new cd player, of course it set up for 4 speakers. rt front, lf front, then l and rt rear . what i want to know is if i plan on only running the 2 rear speakers, do i just tape the front speaker wire off or wire the 2 lefts and rights together then hook them to the speakers.

Just tape them off. If you connect them together you'll fry the radio.

Unless the two rear speakers you bought are dual voice coil. In that case you could connect the rt front and rt rear to the one rt speaker and the lt front and lt rear to the other.
