Ejumicate me. What are these, and how are they better than original headlights?

beats me
there seem to be a lot of different upgrade headlights to replace the old "sealed beams".
the theories...brighter, last longer, easier to get globes for etc.
the reality in my experience for the "just plugem in" kits...no brighter, burn out your headlight switch, cost a lot more.
to do it properly, you need to fit relays and I wouldnt bother without replacing the headlight loom...then I'd buy a set of halogen replacement lights with the 55watt low, 100 watt high beam from the reputable autoparts joint you mentioned when everyone was comparing mustang specialists (ie from Hella or Narva). YOu would have a fair bet (IMO) that the kits from the Mustang specialists all come from the same place in south east asia.
