Either send it to wmvose@***.net or wavose@gmail.com. Try zipping the file before you send it, that might help.

Got them. It is the Motorcraft version of the Holley 1940. The difference is the spark control valve, Holley used some internal orifices to get the same effect. I used to sell both of them in my shop.

Think I should get a rebuild kit or buy another type/brand? I have trouble with it ideling too fast and stalling if I give it some gas. If I buy a new carb will it come with the choke and dashpot and all that other stuff, or do I have to buy all that separate?

I don't even know what new carbs are available for the 6cyl. engines anymore. The daspot might change over. The choke will come with it. Before you condem it, check 2 things, first, that the choke is actually opening up, second, whether the accelerator pump is actually squirting fuel when you open the throttle. Does your engine have the Holley Loadamatic distributor or the Autolite dual advance unit? The Holley has a large vacuum diaphram and 2 small springs on the breaker plate. The Autolite has a smaller diaphram with a "snout" on it and a vacuum tee on the side, or it may have 2 tees. It will have a centrifugal advance mechanism under the breaker plate. The Holley, if the diaphram is bad or the plate is sticking, will stumble terribly. Good luck, and let me know if you need more help with it.
