Default Heads and Cam recommendation

I have a C Code 289 67 with an Edelbrock Performer intake and Holley 600 Electric Choke carb with headers. I'm looking for recommendations for cam (rockers and lifters too) and heads to get me to around 350-400 HP if possible. I have a C4 auto and will also replace fuel pump and timing chain and other things as needed...thanks!

You're going to need a new manifold, as well. The Performer just isn't up to the task of high horsepower.

You'll want 0.51x+ lift with 234+ duration at 0.050" along with the right opening closing specs (call Comp Cams and tell them what you want, they will set you up quite nicely). RHS makes some good heads that are available through Jegs.

With that kind of power in mind, you will definitely want to strengthen the bottom end with a good balance and new bolts at the very least.
