gettin ready to paint the door panels and ive noticed ive lost some of the textures on the door panel pieces, so should i just sand the rest of em down and make it smooth, or is there some way to get the texture back, or should i just paint it like it is half/half. Also what kind of prep is needed and what kind of paint is reccomended for the painting of the door panels, metal dash pieces, and kick panel and interior quarter trim panels?

 

The texture is in the metal itself, can't get it back. Best to strip door with a chem. stripper so as not to sand off the tex. As to whethyer to sand the rest, You have to decide if it looks bad done half way. If the problem is in the lower door, or not really noticible, I would leave the rest.
