You are foolish if you sell. The money you get will just get pi**ed away and you will have nothing to show for it. That is a nice car and will only go up in value.

I had two mustangs when I was around your age and kick myself for getting rid of them, for minor reasons. You will regret it eventually. If you sell, save this post and review it in ten years....

Tell ya what. Sell it to me cheap. I will fix the stuff wrong with it, do some upgrades you have been planning, and then sell it back to you for the amount I have in parts to repair it after you are done with school.. Your dad will think its gone, and you wont have to pay storage on it. Just drop it off up here in the middle of BFE and spend your time studying. PM me if you want details on this idea. I cant run a business or anything, but I can buy and sell cars if I want. True you have to trust me that I will sell it back to you, and not to anyone else, but if I did that I think Soaring and a few others would drive up here and skin me alive..

Already doing that with a friend of mine, I bought his 72 Formula for a song, and while he works at the White House I am working on getting it driveable and relaible. He isnt very mechanical, but is an ace with 110v and 220v systems..lol. He will get it back for what the parts cost (and what I paid) when he has a place to keep it inside, and its ready to be driven.

I know what the first car means, mine is currently in the shop with no paint. Hopefully going to finish the body work this week. If someone purposely did something to that car, I would be inconsolable, and beyond furious. You will want that car when you are older, trust me on that. Storage on a car is a problem, because if it isnt driven it tends to degrade, and also you can get mice and other varmints inside it that tear it to pieces from the inside out. If you want to long term store it, I have details for that too. Mine hasnt been legal since 1987, but now its getting a ground up rebuild, it want that nice before.

If nothing else, I have a couple sets of heads here that I could send to the machine shop to get new guides and such, I dont need much for the cores only need to pay the machine shop..

well its a sound idea but that the one thing i would like is doing upgrades myself as i go. well if their heads that would fit the 289 pm about them and what u would want for them. right now its on the side of the house and it has a $150 cover on it right not (i asked for it couple years ago when i went to school and knew i would need em). think im gonna stall and mention my dad's car and see if i can get those sympathy points
