Default Cable clutch conversion

Tried a search but couldn't seem to find an answer. There seems to be at least a few different cable clutch conversions out there but I can't figure out which one is best and why. Also, are there any clearance issues with mid to shorty style headers? I had JBA shortys on my old '65 GT and thought they were expensive when I got them about 15 years ago, but now ...! FWIW, I already have the late model scattershield and linkage from my old '85 GT and the headers will be for an advertised 375hp 302 engine.

Thanks in advance.
