I have been working on my interior light to my 66 convertible with a console-can someone tell me what lights exist-I have one under the dash on the drivers side and one on the passenger side,one in the glove box,one under the transmission select (p r n ....) and two lights at the end of the console-I have one extra light socket that is laying under my console....now this car is new to me...I believe the car never had a console originally..could this light be for the old single gear box on the floor? I have looked all over for a hole to plug the prongs into but I cant find anything...I thought it might be for the console box that swings open near the front of the console....
did I miss any lights???????? I have taped the hot side of the empty light with black electrical tape...should I ground the ground wire that is attached to this lead? any help appreciated Thanks Scott

 

maybe. there is a hole there in my console that looks like it should have a light, but i dont know how it switches on and off coz its right up the back. I stuffed a kill switch in it. does the vert have lights along side the back seats on the trim (right behind the front seats)??

 

I dont have any lights on the seat trim....Iam thinking it was used to light up the transmission shift panel....it is mystery thanks scott

 

Is it an automatic? Most likely it is to light up the shifter.
