Default want to customize my bumpers

I want to shave the bolt heads off the bumpers and have them set closer to the body ,
Anyone know of a good tech article on the net or some advise? Thanks

im not gonna section mine but im gonna get the glass rear bumper for a minimalist chrome look just the grille surround, and the window area will get the stainless trim and maybe side emblems

Dont get ur panties in a bunch Soaring
If any one saw the carcraft issue there this orange camaro with the bumper bolts shaved off then it';s painted grey. i still want mine chrome but cant figure it out,, also i think Foose did it a couple times to his Overhauls. I think that you most likely wouldnt notice right off then after you had a double take youd be like,....wait a minute, that looks different. Just no bolt heads is all im talkin about, I think it would look cleaner and sleaker and keeping the true lines of the car. Now i dont know about fiberglass , I'd have to see it first --but it's thinkin Out of the Box. Good luck bro,--

I saw that camaro in Hot Rod. It was a hot chick that did it too! Just cut the heads off the old bolts and weld them it. Then smooth the welds and either have it rechromed or like the camaro did just paint it to look like brushed steel.

David Stacey did it on an issue of Trucks, didn't look too hard, just welding and grinding. You would of course need to get it re chromed, or painted. As stated the look would be suttle, but those who notice would appreciate the work.

These guys talk about the plating process, they don't want you to grind down the front after you weld on the bolt.

If you know how to weld this is an easy project, the only real cost is the re-chrome

(IMO)
a very subtle and classy modification.
Another one is to replate all the chrome items, but leave it in nickel. Looks a little deeper, and almost like a sepia.
