Problem w/ start up...

he made the point I was going to make. You've got gas, now you just need compression and spark.
I'm with him, it's most likely battery, cables/wires. However there is the slight possibility it could be a mechanical issue.
There are good tests you can do to check your starting/charging/ignition systems. Information is readily available with a quick search through Google. You'll find web pages with instructions, diagrams, etc. The tests are easily performed with a simple DVM. If you stop by your local auto parts store they can test your battery for free.

well mine just doesn't want to keep running when its cold and the choke is running properly but it takes a few to get going then after that its ok cept today i found out that when the engine was rebuilt that hardened valveseats weren't installed so i now know why i get puff in my exhaust and why it idles rough
