Default RE: found a 66 need help

ok guys i came accross this one. i am flying out there friday and will run through it with the tips you guys gave me. if all is well, he wants 6k for this, which is a lot better deal than the other one. i already know it runs reliably and its restored since my friends dad owned it for as long as i can remember... what i am asking is this:

does 6k sound good?
any other tips while looking at it?
where can i buy most of the parts for it? (website) i want to do cosmetics and engine upgrades. rims, chrome, cam, etc.

thank you so much for help couldnt do it without ya

edit: forgot to post pics lol.

edit 2: also is this really the 4 valve im thinking of? its a pushrod motor right? if so, how would it have 4v per cylinder? i dont understand it, and how could i figure out what motor/tranny it has:

66 FORD MUSTANG ENGINES/ENGINE CODES
T - 200 ci 1valve 6-cyl. with 120hp
C - 289 ci 2valve V-8 with 200hp
A - 289 ci 4valve V-8 with 225hp
K - 289 ci 4valve V-8 with 271hp

when it says 4v... it means 4 venturi, as in the carburator. I refer to them as barrels. The C code had a 2 barrel while everything else had a 4 barrel... except the 6 banger. I bought my car, for 2,000. Daily driver condition. Doesn't looks bad. You can find great deals around, i bought mine from my teacher!!!! Ill sell you mine for $5,000.

... about $25K.

The 271 hp is the 'K' code Hi-PO which are quite rare and even more valuable. You could go to www.hipomustang.com and learn a lot about them.
