Trunk Paint
I was cleaning the trunk interior on my 65 fastback and noticed some small areas with a little surface rust so decided to prime and repaint the interior. Will a standard primer prevent this rust from spreading? Any advice on type/brand of paint? Thanks.
primer it by itself absorb water so if u left it open then no it will slow it, now if u cleaned all the rust so it was nice clean metal primed, and top coated then ull be good for a long time
Pick a day where the weather is dry. Take everything out of the trunk and vacuum it out. Brush some rust encapsulator (POR 15 for example) on all the metal in the trunk. Let that dry completely, then hit it with primer. Let that dry completely, then hit it with color.

I completly stripped and prepped my trunk about half a year ago. I will post some pictures for you tomorrow if you like. I used painter stripper, then sanded it down the best i could and hit it with normal primer. I still need to get some seam sealer on it and then Im going to Dynamat the whole thing. Goodluck!
