I'm going to get killed/hung for this, but aside from the mustang, and maybe the gt/gt40 ford can kindly kiss my posterior!

Ill explain it for you, Ford's suck, besides mustangs. I'm a Chevy guy....... who likes mustangs. and real old ford trucks. Of course, this is my opinion, just like everyone has opinions about GM, etc. etc.
All automibile companies make cheap to expensive cars except for the European specialty cars. Ford is no exception. Gm and Chrysler are no exception. You get what you pay for, and cars are no exception. In my estimation, the cheapest Mustangs produced today are simply crap, but the more expensive Machs and Snakes are well worth the amount of money you spend for them. Back in the 60's, it was no different marketing scheme than it is today. The 6 banger cars were cheap, but stylish to lavish the market for a cheap American sports car. Face it. You don't own an expensive car unless you have a rare one, which none of you have.
None of the exotic engines mentioned above ever left the factory bolted into a car offered for sale to the public. Boss 429 Mustang's (hand assembled engine stuffing), a few 427 Thunderbolts/Cyclones (if you knew somebody important) and the 50 '68 light weight 428 Super Cobra Jet Mustang drag cars were as close as we got as far as I know.

69Boss,
Had a shot at a Boss 429 about ten years ago from a local collector friend of mine in Greenwich, CT who owned two of them plus a few other over the top Fords. Very tasty cars and yes, they do qualify as "very special"!! Never had a chance to drive one but I'm not dead yet. I couldn't afford to buy one ten years ago and not a whole lot has changed since then. They have appreciated 'just a bit' in today's market. Stock verses stock the Boss 429 would always eat a Hemi's lunch! Hope you take it out once in awhile and exercise it. Talk about a velvet hammer! Nothing like a big block. I've still got two.

I bought this one new in 1969,put 14968 miles on it and parked it in 1972.Brought it out of hiding in 2005 after making some improvements, and have added 4500 miles to it since then.I drive it to shows within 50 miles and trailer to Carlisle and a few other large shows. And,there is nothing like 600hp of big block Boss power under your right foot. Its about the most fun you can have with a tank of 110 Sunoco.
