+1 on the Lincoln 135 , I have that one and its quality is excellent. Its not the one from Home Depot, they dont have
an infinite power setting (rheostat switch) The one from HD click-click-click. The infinite switch gives you more flexibility.

Shifty, just dont expect to be replacing everything with it. Havent used one, and you know my feelings on HF, since everything I got from them has broken on the first or second use.
If it works, you can probably get the floor pans done with it, and plug a couple holes. Working with outer sheetmetal, like quarters, fenders doors, etc, having a good welder makes a huge difference. I have the lowest cheapest Hobart that uses gas, because I was mobile with limited storage/work space in the USAF when I bought it. it works, but filling in the holes for my vinyl top is a pain with it. Especially compared to the one my dad has, its a 220v Lincoln that has every possible setting and can weld 1/2" thick plate, or 20 guage sheet. Filling holes with his is easy, simple and fast. Mine is much more labor intensive.
yes it should work for a small job or two. Just dont try to do anything huge with it, ok? it probably wont live through it. Fires are not a good thing. I doubt my little hobart will survive the Mustang, and the 65 GTO would kill it for sure.. too much rust.

Harbor Freight sells junk, yeah you save some money up front, but it won't last. I use a Hobart 135 with gas and flux. It was about double the price of a cheap flux welder, but if you have to buy a cheap welder twice then you should have saved up for a decent welder once. Also, you might want to tackle some tougher jobs in the future and having a gas welder is a nice option.
Don't forget the mask, the auto dimming masks are great, Hobart sells a nice entry level mask for about $100. Worth the money!

Don't buy that welder. For the cost of that thing which might work for a little while in your inexperienced hands you could take it and have a professional do it. The work would turn out much better and you wouldnt have money into the mask and gloves and everything else you need to do a good job. You should either get something worth while in long run or nothing at all. I would stay away from harbor freight unless you are looking for disposable hand tools. It seems like everything they sell is disposable, even welders now. Use the money to buy something that will last.
