Default ron francis wire harness

I am pulling the trigger on a complete wire harness for my 66 coupe. I just went through the search gig and found 1 reference so now I need to know - is this as good as Painless? I was doing the research to confirm the painless approach but at $413, Ron is looking good - who else has installed Ron Francis and how was it??????

Never used them but I have heard only good comments about francis. Try a search.

I have used 3 of his kits on 3 different cars that I have built ('37 Ford Tudor slant back, '53 Studebaker coupe, and a '32 3window coupe) and helped a buddy install one on his 53 F1 pickup. His quality is very good. I experimented and tried to burn some of his wires with a torch and they are very resistint to fire. I tried some wire I had bought at Radio Shack and the insulation almost immediately started smoking and falling off the wire. The instructions take you through the installation of one major circuit at a time so you don't become overwelmed by the number of wires. I have not used any other manufactures installation kits so I can't judge them but you'll get no complaints from me. I'm currently working on a '70 fastback and was amused by the location of its fuse box on the firewall and behind the clutch pedal. I am now wondering if I should order a kit from Ron Francis for my '70. I have not even looked to see what he has to offer for the mustang but if I did order one I would order the extra long wire option and put the fuse box in the trunk like I did for my '32. Its easy to get to and I don't think there is an issue with running the wires back there. Now understand I am completely tearing this car apart and am not going back stock so the wireing will not be problematic for my project.
