The pitman arm is that short arm bolted to the steering box which is concted to the centerlink which has the inner tierods connect to it and the idlerarm on the passenger side of the car all of those parts are different between V8 and I6

As long as its a v8 centerlink it will work. They don't wear out near as much as a the tie rods. That said.....I've worn my centerlink out happened at in inopertune time too.....drove 2 days dragging the car behind me in the trailer, unload it the night before race day, take it for a spin and find out my centerlink ball joint is all busted up. Nope, you just have to source a center link, (pitman arm and idler arm too I think). Last year you could still buy the center link new from napa, they had a part number on the books if you want to shop local....I would call NPD and order it though.

You can get the pitman arm puller from autozone as a rental tool I will send you a PM with the ecel sheet from when I did mine you don't have to change everything on the sheet just all the steering parts on there as long as you've gotten the V8 spindles.
