Assembly - done!
I'll get pics after I clean it. It's just ugly filthy.
There's still some misc stuff to finish, but I'm done with the major stuff. One thing I did notice is I'm not getting 100% throttle from the pad/caarpet being new. That's first on the block. I've gotta get some fastners and change a few screws out for stainless ones, finish the drain for the AC ( I have the hose and have moved the location to hide it from where it was ).
I need to finish the trunk area, but that can be done at my own pace. I plan on doing that right, so it will take some time. I also want to change the seat belts to a more modern set up. I have the old ones in place, however.
Anyway - it's been a fun 2 weeks. I would guess I have 50 hours total in the project as we didn't work non stop every day and most times we didn't even get started till about 11 AM and finished at dark (which is about 5:30 this time of year ). Double that to 100 hours because my friend helped me, however I believe with minimal help one could do what was done in 50-60 hours with better equipment ( plasma cutter, a lift and other misc tools ).
So, there ya go.
I'm now saving money for all the exterior panels. You may say that I am doing it backwards. And in most cases that is right. However, I will get a year or better of new interior driving before I even begin the exterior work. When I do start that work, I will pull the needed interior parts back out to finish the paint. This making my *fun time* as enjoyable as it can be till I start the new projects.
Cheers.
