Default New Compressor

Occasionally there are discussions on here about air compressors, so I thought I would post about the one I bought yesterday. 7 or 8 years ago my dad bought me a 26 gallon/5 hp compressor which has worked well for me, I have worked it hard on occasions. It has painted 2 or 3 vehicles and sandblasted small items and such, I have had good luck with it.

Yesterday I went to Lowe's and bought a 60 gallon compressor that runs on 240 volts. It should be a nice step up from my old one. After running power to the compressor, and plumbing in the new filter/regulator assembly, the compressor is working like a champ. I think it is even a bit quiter than my old one. By the way, I have already sold my old compressor for $150 to help offset my costs.

Maybe this will give me some incintive to work harder on my Mustang.

yeah, like i gotta say, my compressor is sorta loud but u cant beat the convenience of being able to plug it into any regular plug...plus it handles what i want so far....haven't done a lot with it.... (just got a new one too). air tools are definitely fun though....i find myself playing with them more than i get any work done....not good, but soon i should start getting work done......it finally stopped raining.....

Sweet.. you will like how it keeps up with your tools, even a blaster and a DA.. Well it should anyway. All you need now is a bead blasting cabinet and life will be grand....
