The engine/tranny will need custom mounts. The rear can be sourced from Currie Enterprises and will be delivered ready to bolt in with your choice of disc or drum brakes.

The clutch will be fun, as the toploader uses a push and the fox uses a pull.
Headers are a big thing for a 4V, they are freakin huge and getting them to fit is the fun part.

Look around on the net for a swap kit, Summit or Jegs might have the headers and other items you need. Such as the oil pan, Clevelands had a front sump where the Fox requires a rear sump.. Just things like that...

**** nasty engine in a light car means way too much fun. Been wanting to do that myself, but I have enough projects already.

i think for gas reasons i m goin with teh 5 speed t5 for now until it blows up then i m goin with a built up t5 but 4 speed i realized that would make pitiful gas
not that i expect much any way but still
do u think the 8.8 will hold up to the power and torque i m only puttin a mild cam i the motor sometin like 520-550 lift and 250-300 duration nothin huge but enough to get well over 340 wheel

Yeah an 8.8 will hold it fine, they are tougher than most people think. I would recomend a quad shock setup or some sort of traction bar to limit wheelhop if you run a Fox older than 85.

Dont power shift it and it will live long enough, if you lift in each gear change you wont break it as quick. A healthy 4V isnt gonna be easy on gas, but you should be able to get teens out of it even with some deep gears. Since its a clutch, I would say an XE284 hydrualic, some roller rockers instead of the stock stamped steel ones, a 750 Holley, and 3.73 gears with a 27" or 28" tire.

That think would bump pretty well... I have a comp cams 280 in my 4V with a stock intake, .040 over slugs and Headman headers, it would roast the tires in the 72 Grande with the 3.00 gears and an FMX trans. Mash the throttle from idle at a dead stop and it was just a smoke show with 10" wide radials.. I never had a problem with bottom end and 4V heads...

no need for custom mounts the cleve is a small block, uses the same mounts as a windsor in a fox, stick with the 8.8 its almost just as strong as the 9in but with less internal friction, and are a dime a dozen if it breaks. as for an oil pan ull have to pony up the money for one[:'(] but the headers of a 69-70 mustang with a cleve with fit with a little tweaking here and there about 150$ ive seen a cleve in a fox( i bought my cobra r from the guy) fit nice and had plenty of room on each side of the engine to work on it(since a 429/4.6 etc will fit with out hacking) it was also a 4v motor

u can find the swap oil pan in the 5.0 mags cleve uses a specific pan now for heads id step up to some afd or chi cause by the time you add new valve/machine work you could step up to alum heads( a must stock design is a 2 piece they like to come apart ask me how i know) if u go stcok heads make sure to get closed chamber heads. www.ausfordparts.com for parts they have block and heads and paw(always in hot rod) sells rotating assembly for the cleve balanced etc basically plug and play thats where ui ordered my stuff from when i assembled my cleve

While you are lookin around the net, check these guys out. I want a set of these heads so freakin bad, and actually I would rather have a set like that, for that price to fit one of my Pontiacs... killer Clevelands... One thing you could do is a Clevor, windosr bottom end with Cleveland style pistons, a 408ci shortblock would be killer, and the pans for the W block are easy to find. These guys also sell the intake you need for a Clevor..
