Default Vacuum hose routing

How exactly are the vacuum hoses supposed to be hooked up on a 66 289?

I don't know if there even IS a vacuum schematic for 1st generation cars. The Osborne books start at 1967 and I couldn't find a drawing in my 66 shop manual.

APCV hose that runs from your valve cover to the carb base plate
A hose runs to your Auto Trans (if equipped)
A hose runs to your Brake Booster (if equipped)
A small hose runs to your distributor advance

That's all I can think of.

hes got it right. The big hose from the carb plate to the valve cover... if you have power brakes, it's another big hose that branches off of the first big hose. Then the small hose for the auto tranny, and the small hose for the vacuum advance. The tranny and vacuum advance lines connect to the carb, while the brakes and PCV connect to the manifold.

Ok, thanks. Thats what I needed to know, that the tranny and dist go to the carb and not to the manifold.
