Default strongest 351 block?

i want to put a393 stroker into my notch and was wondering what early 351 block is the strongest? i assume most early blocks have 4 bolt mains and eventually i will be pushing about 600 hp with a kenne bell blower so having those would be a plus, also are there any problems with cooling efficiency or oiling on these old blocks?

thanks alot- Chris

wait..... did they ever even make a 4 bolt 351w block?

i would think a stock block could handle the HP though, using some main studs and a girdle would prolly be a good idea though

If you want a 4 bolt main block I think you're gonna have to make one or go aftermarket. IIRC, they didn't make a Windsor with 4 bolt mains.

The strongest 351W block that I know of was the '69. I think it had a higher nickel content and larger webbing. I just sold my '69 351W and that was my understanding of the block.
