strongest 351 block?
i want to put a393 stroker into my notch and was wondering what early 351 block is the strongest? i assume most early blocks have 4 bolt mains and eventually i will be pushing about 600 hp with a kenne bell blower so having those would be a plus, also are there any problems with cooling efficiency or oiling on these old blocks?
thanks alot- Chris

wait..... did they ever even make a 4 bolt 351w block?
i would think a stock block could handle the HP though, using some main studs and a girdle would prolly be a good idea though

The strongest 351W block that I know of was the '69. I think it had a higher nickel content and larger webbing. I just sold my '69 351W and that was my understanding of the block.
most marine blocks are gonna be super rotted in the water jackets though.... scary stuff.
if ALL boss motors were 4 bolt.... didnt they make a boss 351 for like 1 or 2 years? am i just on crack?
