You may not be serious, but there was a slant 6. I believe Mopar put out the first slant 6 back in the 60's.

taken from that site...
"The hydraulic lifter setup was designed and developed at WEP (Windsor Engine Plant, Chrysler Canada) and a small number were produced in 1978, and placed in fleet service to monitor in-use durability. No other hydraulic-lifter slant-sixes were produced until the 1981 model year, when all were so equipped. No oil galleys were added to the engine block. Instead, the rearmost camshaft bearing was fully grooved to feed high-volume oil up through the head to the rocker shaft, subsequently through the rocker arm bodies and down through hollow pushrods to new top-feed hydraulic lifters. This unique and innovative method of feeding the lifters eliminated the need to rework the block."
can you say &*#$@! rigged?

a split intake manifold would be another good addition to go with all your other planned mods. I would be careful of a 3 x 1 intake...some of those can create real clearance issues with firewalls and other items in that area. They are also a little more difficult to tune unless you are fairly knowledgable in that kind of thing. These are all issues that I encountered while rebuilding a 261 for my '53 Chevy truck. There are also some online calculators for HP that might be able to give you an idea but you would probably be just as good to get on the FordSix site and ask around to some of the gurus there. They would probably be able to answer the question just as easily. Good luck!

On the contrere......When I built my 1929 Mercedes SSK kit car, I decided to use the front engine design as opposed to the Volkswagen bug frame/pan and rear engine. Well, one of my choices was a 4 cylinder Mustang engine. I chose the 1978 Mustang II 4 banger, and guess what? It is/was a slant 4. So, yeah, The II's had a 4 banger slant engine.
