Horsepower?
I realise this may have been asked once upon a time so I apologise if my post is a tad redundant..,
Anyhoo,I currently own a 1966 Mustang coupe with a 200 straight 6 and I plan on Building it up.
the Mods I have planned are as follows:
-Adapt a 2barrel Holly 300CFM repro carb into the stock manifold.
-Complete Rebuild kit including 10.5:1 compression pistons, meduim rise and duration cam and oversized valves (Kit is from Classicinlines.com)
-New dual out headers with Cherry Bomb turbos on a side exiting exhaust.
The Question I have is can anyone here give me some kind of estimated HP output figures for post mod? I know to start its rated @ 120hp.
If anyone here who has experience building engines can give me any cost cutting tips it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot,

cause some people dont like the cookie cutter idea of building a V8
i have done a similar build with classic inlines parts and i am making some very noticeable power but as for actual numbers i have no clue cause i have not gotten my car dynoed yet and depending on which cam you get it can greatly change the power output cause i know classic inlines has like 10 cams for sale
and also check out http://www.fordsix.com/forums.php this forum is run by the owner of classic inlines his name is Mike and his screen name is Azcoupe on the forum and also read up on the aluminum head coming out in a few months

I haven't had any experience with I6 ,but I think its a very cool idea to work these motor up . I can see more of this happening as the number of V8 car out there get harder to find and you can find a car with an I6 in pretty good shape at a descend price.My0.02.
ebay has a 3 -1 barrel intake that looks good. and headers. 200 , 6 is kind of weak, But if it's what you want, then there are parts. Put in what you want on a google search and then try ebay.
Some advise, when your done with your 200, you may get 200 hp. and a weak small block puts out more than that.
But I don't want to rain on your parade. Take pictures.

Thx for your help,
The reason id like to build the I6 os basically for originality sake, thoughI have an extra 302 sitting in my garage, im not entirely sure if im gonna use it yet. Im gonna look around a bit more and give her some time before I decide what im gonna do with it.
Thanks again,

the onlyu problem with the ford six when building it for power is the fuel starvation of the cylinders on the end which helps to kill power, but a six cylinder engine is pretty torquey to begin with because an inline design makes torque easier
