On the subject of fitting a 300 in a mustang:
I never thought you'd be able to fit one in a 65/66... I would think that 67 took some fitting. My brother has a complete 300 in the garage I could take measurements if anyone is that interested in it.
btw....100th post [sm=icon_cheers.gif] (and thats not so hard for me I work for Anheuser-Busch)

ya you should be able to slap one of those 300 in there no prob and ford racing used to make an aluminum performace head for it i dunn o if they still do and i would get the offy 4bbl intake for it and get a 500cfm carb on it and then work your way down and as far as a stroker kit goes you can get anything you want made even it all depends on how much you wanna spend

You know probably the one thing i like most about my car, is what it sounds like when i start her up.

By the way, a friend at work has a Plymouth Duster that has the slant six. It sounds like a lot of things were gerry rigged on those cars, but he still likes it.
Do they make a turbo kit for the Ford I6's? If so, that would be pretty cool along with the other mods that you described. One nice thing about the I6, 200, is all the room in the engine bay even prior to the larger bodyMustangs that they started producing in the late 60's.
