Body Code C Bench Seat?
Does anyone know why Ford would bother with aBody Code 65C (bench seat), when the Bench Seat was an option for 65A's? Seems you would order a 65A with a bench seat as an option. Perhaps there was "More" to a 65C than just the front bench seat? Does anyone know or can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I believe that while the bench seat was an option, and the standard interior code was A, if the car was ordered with the bench seat the cars code would be C.It was used to differentiate the interior packages. By the same token a car with a luxuryinterior would have a Bfollowing the body code.
Yes, it was an option just like most of the car, but if it came off the line with a bench seat in it, it had a C code. There is a difference between dealer options and factory options. The factory options became part of the VIN/warranty number whereas the dealer options did not. Here were the interior codes for the classic mustangs.
