150 for a running 351 isnt bad at all, but depends if its running good or barely able to idle...if its a 351C, id jump on it at once

depends on what u want, do u want to mod the hell out of it, then get a newer one like 84 and up i think they are all roller motors, but if u want stock then get a 69-70 they make good power. its most likely a windsor motor, but check and c, also the cleveland is better b/c the heads and intake. but the windsor there is more parts for it so its ur choice.

MARINE ENGINE...

If you can get a good running core for $150 just go buy it. Pull the pan and check the bearings and stuff before you plunk down your cash. If it doesnt have anything spun or broken, then it should be a decent core, provided it isnt cracked from cold.

Doesnt matter what year, all the parts interchange for the most part. Flat tappet cams still work okay, no need to hold out for a roller block. Ws are good engines and alot easier to find than Clevelands. Cs had better heads, but there are more Ws out there and the aftermarket has plenty of heads.

Just go get it and make sure it isnt cracked.

the cheaper one as long as the block is in good shape....if your going to mod it id assume your going to be getting a bunch of new stuff.....so what your really looking for is a base to work off of....why pay double for the same thing? and i sorta dont think from what im reading that your going to build something so gnarly its going to crack the block or something....so the "beefier" one isnt really necessary i'd say.....
