Default Hood Scoop?

I was wondering whether or not to put a Shelby style hood scoop on my 65' GT. If I should, should I get the fiberglass hood with the scoop for $459 or should I just by a steel hood for $159 and then buy a fiberglass bolt-on scoop for $85. Will it look as good with the bolt on?

Default RE: Hood Scoop?

it will look ok with a bolt on but yu will still have the rivets sticking out and if you want the seam to be smooth you will have to spend a good bit of time with filler and sanding

i would say go with the fibgerglass hood cause there wont be a seam and can easily be made into a functional hoodscoop without ruining a perfectly good steel hood
