Default Ford SB

Hi i wonder where the id tag is suppost to be on a Ford Smallblock..
i have ben planing some changes over the winter..

I dont think you will find an ID tag on the motor. If you are referring to the engine block casting number, it is stamped between the oil pan and the starter on the bottom of the block. You will need jackstands and a flashlight to get a good look at it.

Agreed. The tag is usually located bolted to either the intake manifold or behind the coil bracket. They are usually missing after a few years, so the engine block id is the best bet.
