Default Grab a Trak

Im Thinking about rebuilding my front/rear Suspension and control Arms, and i was thinking about theGrab a Track1965-73 Super Starter Kit from Mustangplus.

http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchant...Code=suprstrtr

I was wondering if any one has installed a Grab a Trak Suspension before, How hard to install is it?

Would it feel much better than my Original 1967 Suspension?

Also i was wondering what kind of leaf springs should i get, they have from 4 to 5 1/2 with standard, Mid and Reverse Eye, I dont want my front to sit any lower beacuse the headers are almos touching the ground.

Thanks

I got the grab a trak kit from http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...n/susp-kit.htm but I guess they don't do grab a trak now but that looks to be the same kit and alot better price. Its about the same price I paid for mine 3 years ago. The install was a piece of cake.

yes it will be much better.
if it were me, i'dconsider whether you want a really firm ride or something a bit softer assuming you rate what you have now as outright soggy...handling like a wet sponge.

they tell you the ride heights for the front springs in the avert. you then decide if you want the car to sit bum low, neutral or bum high.

then tell the sales guy and he should be able to tell you whether you want standard, mid or reverse and the most appropriate number of leaves (more = firmer) for your chosen ride quality and stance of the car

good luck.

I just posted this thread a couple of weeks ago:

https://mustangforums.com/m_2608463/tm.htm

Yes, I had a shop install the Grab-A-Track for me, suspension, leafs, and steering kit.

Yes, it makes a world of difference, it also gets rid of that awful sagging look of classic Mustangs, mine now sits stock height in the back, and one inch lower in the front.

4 leaf is the cushy ride for comfort, 5 leaf is the stiffer ride for performance, and 4.5 is a combination of the two, I went with 4 leaf springs.

Dude, that's the same thing, and it's a great price, almost $100 cheaper than Mustang Plus (plus free export brace or Monte Carlo bar), it includes the steering kit as well, and a either an export brace or a Monte carlo bar, your choice.

MAKE SURE TO ASK THE SELLER HOW MUCH FOR SHIPPING THOUGH!!!

Your added options:

1' LOWERING FRONT COIL SPRINGS - ADD 20.00

5 LEAF PERFORMANCE HANDLING LEAF SPRINGS - ADD 40.00

1' LOWERING 5 LEAF HANDLING LEAF SPRINGS - ADD 40.00

4 LEAF 1 1/2' LIFT (FROM STOCK) LEAF SPRINGS - ADD 15.00

So it's up to you what you want, 4, 4.5, or 5 leafs, and what combo height you want, stock, one-inch lower with stock back, or stock lift on the back, decisions, decisions, decisions.

That's an excellent price.

I got the super kit from laurelmountainmustang a few months ago and its still sitting here waiting to be installed. Yes, its a really good kit for the money. All the listings for it on ebay come with the same stuff, but some are listed up to 60 bucks more, so look for the one about $767. I got the steering deleted so it came to 677 for me.

There are some small things I dont like but I am OCD on details so dont let it deterr you. Oh, and for that 677 I got the lowered leafs and springs..

Midolene is like a mixture between rubber and poly. Harder than rubber but softer than poly...
