Default Primed and almost ready for paint!

Last weekend we primed the 68. I have just now been able to post a few pics.
First we conditioned the body then washed it. The wash smelled and gagged us like muratic acid. If I would have known it was a diluted muratic acid I probably could have saved $20-$30 by buying it at a pool supply. Then we shot a few coats of sealer. After the sealer dried we sprayed her with high build primer. It was nice to see her all one color again. Then I spend 8-10 wet sanding. Then on Thursday I spent a few more hours wet sanding. I am only half done! I am using a 1/2" thick paint stick wrapped in 400 to start then I am going to 600. I bought somewhite primer today for the final primer coat. Then I decided to buy the base coat and clear today also. My **** still hurts! When I walked out of the store, I had spend an additional $750. I won't tell you the color I chose. When it's done I will post pics. I let me daughter pic the color since it will be her car when she turns 40[8D]. I told her she can have it when she turns 16. It will be two different colors, that's all I'll say. No, it won't be pink and purple! If we don't shoot it on Sunday it will be next weekend. I am going to pull the doors, hood, and deck lid to paint. I want to hit every jam and nook and cranny. Here are a few pics from last weekend.
