I have a 302 with a C4 in it and it didnt come with a kickdown rod. I put on a holley with a kickdown lever and bought the kickdown rod for a c4/302. I put the rod on( slid it over the lever on the carb and the tranny side, put e clips on) then i took it for a test drive. The kickdown rod actually stopped the carb from opening full throttle. It would not kickdown or move the lever at all but actually restrict my throttle maximum [:@]. So i took it off and am dealing with it shifting funky again with no kickdown( or just driving with ratchet) Why would my kickdown lever not move? Am i missing something? I hooked it directly to the lever on the trans, is their supposed to be a Z bar or some linkage after the kickdown rod? -Jon
