thats exactly what i am gunna do i am gunna do the shelby mod with a 620 spring but i am worried about the ride hight so there are two things i am considering either the 1" poly insulator or the 3/4" metal one made by global west but i dunno what one to use

I am also considering doing the Shelby mod and alittle confused. So if you have a 620 spring that is 1" dropped, and you lower the UCA 1", would it still be ok? I thought you only needed to compress the springs about 2" to install them and that would make fitment loose...
The 1" drop coils will drop the car 1" from factory stock. Now, your factory coils probably have sagged over the past 40 years so are already lower than stock. You might install the 1" lowered 620's to find it raises the car? maybe. If they are too tall and you cut them, then it makes a stiffer spring rate. I cut 1.5 coils out of my 620's and now they feel like 720s. Loered my car to where I want it and stiffened up the front to handle the extra weight of my engine.

I was just worried if you can do the shelby drop paired with dropped springs. I didnt know if that would too much of a distance and the spring not seat properly, i dont know how to explain it better..

yes, you can do the shelby drop and use lowering springs. The shelby drop is a suspension upgrade, but just happens to give about 1/2" lowering of the ride height. Do a search on the shelby drop to see what it can do for you. Research, don't just do it on blind faith. Know your car.
