BRAKES - need help!

RE: BRAKES - need help!
most important ... don't take both drums apart. start with one, then when finished the other. Otherwise you won't get it back again.
Happened to me as an apprentice. You might even be able to get the wheel cylinders swapped without disassembling the drum brakes.
Works on a good few cars, haven't seen mustang drums from the inside though

Wow, you stil haven't bench bled the master cylinder? You can do it on the car. Just take two hard lines with matching fittings and screw them into the master cylinder ports. Run the hard lines back into the resovoir, fill with fluid and pump the pedal. This will get the rest of the air out of the system. If the wheel cylinders are bad you should see brake fluid inside the rums, and if you drove the car, there'd be a star splatter pattern on the inside sidewall of the tire.

Follow the manual and the pics listed above. Make sure the shoes are on int he right positions too. Take LOTS of pictures. I took a bunch of pics, and darn they are nice, but if you dont look at them when putting it all back together its not gonna work right. Had my pright front primary shoe on the back and the secondary on the front (reversed). The car would stop on a dime and give me 9 cents change, but it also pulled wicked to the right. Everything has been put back int he right positions and they are working 4.0 now.
