Default Need help --Camber Caster adjuster kits - do they work?

The following is information is from Mustang Plus on Camber Caster kits (see image of kit)

I am rebuilding my 65 mustang 289 front suspension and am considering this kit as an alternative to the shims--anybody have experience with these kits.

The Vario-Centric Camber Adjuster is a retrofit kit that adds camber adjustability to your 65-66 Mustangs lower control arms. This eliminates the need of adding or removing shims to the upper control arms during alignment. Slotted weld-on brackets, similar to those found on the 67-73 models, are provided. They are welded onto the lower control arm mount and the round hole is elongated. The camber is then adjusted at the lower control arm mounting point with the square vario-centric plates that lock in place when bolted down. These plates will not move or rotate under heavy loads. Installation instructions provided.

Default RE: Need help --Camber Caster adjuster kits - do they work?

I LOVE my vario-camber kit.
ALONG with a set of adjustable length strut rods I can do my camber/caster adjustments without shims.

I can adjust my camber settings with the vario-camber kit in about 5 minutes, not bad IMO.
Another nice advantage is the possibility to run wider tires up front as well.
Because you're not using shims anymore the upper control arms are relocated about 1/2" closer in, providing more clearance to the outer fender.
I'm able to run a 245 45 16 tire without tire rub because of it.

Just a heads up on the install, it will take some time to grind out the lower control arm mounts. Took me several more hours than I had expected.
