Just kidding, Red w/white stipes, it's done a lot but it's classic. I also like Black w/charcoal stripes. Or blue W/white stripes. hmmm.. wonder how white w/red stripes would look...

Go to your local paint store, they will have books with thousands and thousands of colors. Be sure to take your selections out into the sun so you can really get an idea of the true color and the effect that bright light will have on the colors.
It might just be me, but I can not imagine doing a project car that is limitedto a fewcolor selections that were offered stock 40 years ago, but that is just me.

James W's car has no hood stripe, just a classy custom side stripe. I like it but I'm with BlackLX on the shelby hood stripes...shelby #1, fastback maybe, coupe...nup, not for me. But, hey, each to his own right?!?
my car is white (similar to James's) and not too stark. Paint job was aquick and dirty el-cheapo8 years ago. No fade or yellowing.

i think british racing green(some year has a similar color green) is sex on a mustang but yellow looks damn good on a tastefully done restomod. maybe a black rocker panel stripe without the number designations, just solid...
