If you are going with a blue car, then white stripes are in order. Eye appealing. Black stripes would get lost in the blue.

Agreed, you need to pick two colors that will offset each other, and set each other off.

That's what I thought to. But I want to tint my windows sometime and I want the car to have a color to match the windows, and to match my black interior. How easily does silver smoke grey fade?

Black, white, blue, grey and silver are fairly neutral, and I think they will all go with tinted glass and a black interior. IMO.

But what color for the stripe? I want to do either black with silver GT stripes or silver with black GT stripes. The problem is that black might show any flaws in my body that I may have missed and silver may fade too easily.

You have changed your mind about what color to paint your car about 20,000 times now. Make up your mind about the main body color, then add the color of the GT stripes. Grays usually don't fade as much as black. But, neither will fade if kept in a garage when not driving them, and they have a thick coat of wax on them. The only colors that fade, are colors that have not been maintained with good wax jobs.

I would not worry too much about the silver fading in Oregon, if you were in Phoenix or LA, it might be a real consideration. By the time that silver fades out up there, you will be ready for new paint anyway. I think that silver with black would look nice. My son picked out a real cool silver that he is using for the "offset" color on his coupe, I think it is one of the nicest silvers I have seen.

Do you have any pics of the silver that your son picked out, just so I have something to go off of.

Believe it or not, I like subtle when it come to strips. My stripe is a couple of shades darker then the paint. My last car was white with light gray stripes but they were reflective, so at night they lit up when head lights from other cars hit it...

And, your wheels are too big. There's an old coonass saying....." I think you're pretty, but your feet are too big. "
