Default Brake line flare angle ???

I'm almost done with the Granda front disc brake conversion on the '65Mustang. I just need to run two lines from the master cylinder to the SSBC distribution block then bleed the brakes. (Yes, I did bench bleed the master...)

What need to know is- do our cars use an SAE flare (45degrees)or an AN flare (37 degrees)???

What tube diameter ? Double flare the end ?

Howdy. It should be a 45-degree SAE double-flare. 3/16" OD tubing. NAPA sells a nice little double-flare kit...

Cool... thanks! I had called another car buddy of mine and he said the same thing... Nice to get a confirmation.
I'll probably order the brake line through McMaster-Carr. They have everything...

Ditto on the 45 degree double (or inverted) flare be carefull with the napa kit as the small stem on the addapter (the addapter for the first process)can break off easily, (I know this for sure). [:@]

Just in case you didn't know, spend a little time on de-burring the inside of the tube and a little time chamfering the outside of the tube. I have found that a die (from a tap and die set) works well for chamfering the outside of the tube, quick and easy, just make sure to use a die that is too small to make threads on the tubing.
