TRUNKS!!
Hi everyone,
I don't post here too often but I do alot of browsing. I have a 67 that is in desperate need of haveing the trunk re-done. Right now it looks awful and needs some attention. I was wondeing what your guys' trunks look like. I have seen the trunk kits but honestly I think that the mat sold for the classic mustang trunks should be used for a pick-nic or should on a dinner table! I was thinking about doing rhino linning and some carpeting or maybe just the rhino linning itself, have not decided but definately do not want the trunk kit! Thanks guys

well if you do a rhino linning in the trunk then if you ever need to do a gas tank then say bye bye to the trunk because you will be hacking that thing to hell just to the tank out.... just do some measurements and buy some nice carpet or material to put down.!!!!
Restomod66 ur the man! thanks I have been searching for a kit, but all I ever found was the cheesy table cloth looking material!(no offense to those that have that in their trunk). I didn't even think about the future removal of the tank(thanks mlitz) I like the carpet Idea.

Here's the very cool carpet I installed (sorry for the sun glare):

I bought the trunk carpet kit from Sacramento Mustang, they even have a video clip of it, pretty cool, it's a great carpet (which also includes a spare tire cover)...I also recommend getting the trunk mat underlayment to go with your carpet (extra sound deadner).
Man, I tried giving you direct links but it looks like they have some kind of copyright encoding, it won't let you link directly to the carpet kit.
Ok, just go here:
http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/Pr...3/1965-73.html
Then on the search bar, type...trunk carpet kit
Then again on the search bar, type...Mat underlayment

Hope that helps!

Well Glen (can I call you that or do you prefer Soaring?)...you see, I'm the one who counts the most, so everytime I open the trunk, my awesome eyes must see a black carpet instead of a picnic table cover...lol...besides, it's a much more effective sound deadner, and it's much better for my leather jacket and other goodies, they prefer to lay on a cool carpet, it's more confortable for them...lol.
