I bought a Manifold off this guy the other day. I was at work, and he told me it was an edelbrock RPM. So i made the transaction very hurridly because i had to be back inside, looked the manifold over for damage, and threw it in the trunk. I got home, and noticed it's just a Edelbrock 289 Performer. I was like damn..... So i just gave it to my dad to put on his 67 289. I need more performance then that.

Im thinking about going with a Champion rebuilt 4100. I can get one for $130.

 

Are you running a stock ignition system? I made many changes to my engine and drivetrain that really came togetherwith the addition of an MSD ignition system.It really beats the points on the stock distributor.

 

Pretty much. I have the pertronix 2 and flamethrower 2 coil. I also have a hipo cap and rotor, hipo wires, and bosch platinum plugs. I dont really see spending $500 on a msd setup beneficial right now. I heard they were for heavily modified engines anyway i think.
