Default Fuel Line Diameter Question

I recently ordered a 3/8th inch (Race) fuel line from CJPony parts. Upon receipt, I noticed that the line has 5/16th stamped all over it. When I see 3/8ths advertised, do they really mean 5/16ths...or did CJPony just jip me (again)?

By the way, I'm trying to supply a 347 and I want to make sure I have enough fuel to prevent hesitation. Will the 5/16th line work?

Thanks

na ... if it's stamped 5/16th it is 5/16th. measure the inside of the hose, then you'll know
a 347 will need a 3/8th line. even a 289 V8 should have one. I think 5/16th was bolted into 6cylinder cars

I autocrossed my multi-carb 289HP with 5/16" fuel lines, no problems.

If you ordered a 3/8" line, but you got a 5/16" line, they messed up. Whether or not it will work for your application isn't the issue. They sent you the wrong part plain and simple. Call them, and tell them to send you the right one.

We are running a healthy 408 on a 5/16 line with a rear mounted Holley Red pump, no problem at all, never has starved for fuel, even when I THRASH it unmercifully.

And that is true, but sometimes I have used what I have because I am in a hurry....

that's great to know. i have a 5/16 piece leftover since my car was 6cylinder. always thought i'm running close to starvation although it never caused any problems.

Thanks for the input! Since I ordered a 3/8th line, I'm going to pursue the vendor to try and get the correct line. If I can't make the exchange, perhaps the 5/16ths can tie me over.
