fuel pump question

Default fuel pump question

I am replacing the fuel pump on my 1967 289. I wanted to know if the engine has to be at a certain position in order to replace it. If so how do I do that.

no, just make sure you grease up the lever arm before installing.

You may have to wiggle it up and down, but no to the question.

dont get a high performance one just get a stock fuel pump.

Why not? I got one thats about 10 years old and it works fine.
