1966 engine(289) blue paint ?
for the right "ford blue" engine color do i have to look for a special brand or avoid one... since i have the experience with my chevy that not all " original colors" are the same color
back then i bought plasti-kote "chevy orange" but was not really the right color... had to go for VHT (PJ1) instead and i wanna avoid that color mix with my ford block (289)
any one has the color code by hand ?
thank you
arthur

I havetwo 1972's that are Ford Corporate blue, some of the 64.5, & 65 were gold, sometime in the late 60's for switched from the light blue (not sure what it was called) to the darker Ford Corporate Blue I think it was 68 or 69 just do a google search.
You might want to go with ford corporate blue because it looks the best i think.... i did that with my 69 mach 1..... i used por 15 paint and that stuff work really well..... what kind of paint you using?
My info says heads, blocks, intakes were ford corporate blue (ford dark blue)but i also thought 70's had a lighter blue which according to this scott drake product is not true. EP-1923-A AccuMatchâ„¢ Engine Paint (66-73, Dark Blue)
Movie cars should have it.
