I'm pretty sure "racing" threads aren't supposed to be going on, so I can't say that I've had my Mustang a bit over 120 MPH, and even if I did say it there is no evidence, so you can't prove it.

On the other hand, I *can* say that I've driven 68 MPH in my go-kart with my butt literally an inch off of the ground (www.emmick.com) and 140 MPH on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (www.1800bepetty.com).

Good times!

another chicken here:
had the thing up to 70 and it felt like falling apart
i got new springs and shocks in the front and then 80 felt more comfortable than the 70 before.
So as soon as I have new tires in the front I'll try and see what 90 feels like

I have brought my mustang up to around 110. It was insanely loud because my windows don't line up right.

It was not intended to be a racing thread, but thank you for posting anyway. i also forgot to mention that we hit 120mph in my uncles 2007 GT500, and that was at the top of 3rd[sm=badbadbad.gif].For those of you with the a 3-speed transmission (automatic or maual), how high was your engine revving at about 120mph? I'm just curious.

I blew out my left front tirearound 100 in my old 69 pretty scary stuff. Did it again a week later Same side but this time on the outer loop of the beltway I wound having a bad rim. I ran all out against asupercharged mark vii for a mile and half never looked at the speedo but my stock 4bbl cleveland ran side by side with it. She was screaming. Had to let off the car was shaking to bad

I did 130 in my fastback a couple of months ago at somewhere around 5700 rpm. Rack & Pinion makes it a lot less spooky. The Shelby speedo and tach worked beatifully. Nice, steady readings.

137 in my 1998 Mark VIII.

I ran outta nuts in both cases. I started thinking about the kids, the wife, the mortgage and backed off.

I've had my 66 up to 120 a few times on my windy country road.... yes i am crazy. And ANother thing. SOARING, how the hell is your 65 still pulling when mine is huffing at 120? I got the 66 289 C code just like you, with some upgraded ignition and exhaust. Im guessing the C4 automatic is causing me some RPM differences. At 120 i was over 4400 RPM's easy. oh yeah, and it's scary having the old 60 models at 120 mph..... real scary.......
