Anybody ever install the larger 15" styled steel wheels on a 65-66?

9" no prblem
the issue is with your front brakes and whether they will fit under 14" wheels...what size are the centerlines? if they are 14's no problem. if the car was set up for street/strip type drag racing (not ridiculously modified) then chances are the brakes are standard(ish) and will fit. Easiest way to find out is just get hold of an old standard rim and put it on to see.

The Centerlines are 15", skinnys up front and wide in the back.

I'm pretty sure I will end up going with the 15" version of the Styled Steels. I just wish I could find someone with a picture to compare.

visually they arent going to look a whole lot different.
in fact most people wouldnt pick that they were 15's over 14's unless there was another car right alongside with the 14's. even then it would be someone with an interest rather than a casual observation

I'd just go with the 15's!
But to make your choice a little more difficult, i'd look at the Mag500's as well as the styled steel

did you get a look at the brakes or find another wheel to chuck on there??

I havent had time yet to check it out. Probably Friday. With a new baby in the house, the '65 doesnt get first attention unfortunately.

I will most likely go with the 15" wheels. I just was curious how much difference it made since it says you have to use a bit lower profile tire.

I do like those Mag 500's though.

Decisions, decisions.
