Default rear end assembly

After i get out of school i plan on rebuilding my 8inch with possy some nice gears and some new brakes. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right dirrection on this. I will have a 300-350hp 302 and the car needs to be an every day driver so what kinda gearing should i be looking for. If anyone has suggestions of what parts/ companies, to get me started, that i could look into it would be very helpful.

Thanks Kurtis

With an original transmission you can choose acceleration (~3.55 gear ratio) or economy (~3.0) gears. If you have over drive you can get reasonable economy with ~3.55. Some say use 4+ gears for acceleration but I would find this an issue at cruise speed. Here is an RPM chart for cruising at 60 mph.

There are many decent companies. Currie probably has the best reputation and charges accordingly.
