Dont shop at mustangs plus...
Look at how horrible this trunk lid is...I was told by mustangs plus that they come this way. Having compared with some of you it is obviously untrue. this is the email i sent them.
I have not sanded on it...and i tried resolving this matter a long time ago with you guys and i was told that the trunk lids come that way. Having found out that this was untrue, you can see i am upset with having to spend another $400 on another lid somewhere else. Thank you for your response. I will take my business else where.

Jeez, that looks like crap, it doesn't even look close to the stock trunk lid. I have never used Mustangs Plus, but thank you for warning me. What I use is Mustangs Unlimited and CJ Pony Parts mostly, give them a try. Good luck!
ok here i go on my over due mustangs plus rant i have held back for a long time, I believe they are the reason that restomodders and purists are at each others throats because they buy out the front 10 pages of classic mustang magazine and fill it with the same ads and how things are going at the restomod shop with there retractables ronsters and other junk that looks horrible, seeing this makes purists think that its just stupid and uncalled for which cutting the top off a mustang to build a ronster is, while it makes restomodders think if i dont have 20 inch chrome rims(big rims look horrible on anything except suv's and trucks) that stick out horribly and 15 inch rear brakes my restomod isnt good enough, well hate to tell you 11 inch discs up front and drums out back unless your racing are more than enough for everyone, a coil over suspension isnt the answer to all of your problems and you can have a powerful well driving 65 with a 289 you dont have to put a 351 in there its just that people see that in there and say hey i think i should do that then all the restomodders end up all having the same car and it just sickens me these people but i guess dividing the hobby you claim to care so much about is just business...

Ah, memories. This reminds me of the first fiberglass part I got for my . . . What is was makes no difference. Fiberglass parts usually need a lot of 'fitting'. Your hood seems to be to your liking. It's the poor fit on the trunk lid. Well, that's one advantage of a fiberglass part. You can 'fit' it. If it don't 'fit', you cut it, grind it, add someresin and matting and sand it. You make it work. If you want a perfect fit, go to a shop. If you can't afford the price, learn how to do it yourself. In the end you will have a bit of satisfaction.

CJ Pony Parts, Summit Racing, and Autozone (for the small things) are the only places I buy from. Has anyone read the "Restomod Corner" section of Mustang Monthly? I'm a restomodder and I hate it. There's no focus and typos galore. They overuse certain words and the writing just sucks in general. Kind of like the e-mail that EZ just got. Sanded on? Aother? Lowercase after periods? I'm a grammar **** I guess but that guy is representing his company. Anyways, you're right EZ. That trunk lid sucks and so does the company. I hope they weren't considering becoming one of the MF Vendors
